Welcome

This is the webpage of the research group in Extragalactic Astrophysics at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria led by Jorryt Matthee. Our research focuses on studies of galaxies and their environments in the early history of the cosmos. We use observations with large telescopes on Earth and in space, as well as results from large computer simulations.


Currently the group is partly funded by the European Union (ERC, AGENTS, 101076224) and the MERAC foundation.
